Show 80 - this Tues. Feb. 2 at 7 pm CST

Hello! Tune in to Show 80 this Tuesday February 2 at 7 pm CST!

This one is as exciting as it looks!

***Featuring unicorn singles by Marie Turquoise and Anne Ventura that weren't even listed on Discogs until recently (two separate orders).***

It looks like Philips had a style manual (and Мелодия and Pronit shared one 😄).

If I were into gimmicky marketing I'd call this one "schlagerdelic", but that 1) implies the need of "psychedelic" as validation, 2) plays into rockist notions of coolness, and 3) tarnishes the true excellence of these tracks (oops - soapbox alert!).

So - no superficial indulgences, no $300 records that 2,500 users want...just zero "cred", killer tracks, and another crack in the rock-industrial-complex (o.k. I'm just freestyling now). 😎

It's like Haddaway said: "What is psych? Baby don't bore me...don't bore me...no more."

Hi! Tune in this Tuesday January 19 at 7 pm for Show 79.

This one features nice touches of Rhodes, electric piano, organ, woodwind flourishes, and killer bass parts. Plenty of cool, mid-tempo delights!

(NOTE: I really loved the Taxi theme as a kid. It came on in the afternoon between Sat. morning cartoons and the 5 pm world news my Dad watched. Memories!)

Show 78: FC80 - this Tues. Dec. 29 and Jan. 5 at 7 pm!

Greetings! Please tune in to the 80s New Year's special: FC80!

The French Commie rules only allow one exception track; this time there are NO exceptions - it is pure FC! Additionally this one features all female lead vocals, and it is playing twice! There are only three artists in common with 80s Spring Break from earlier this year, and there are nine artists that are new to the show.  🎉🥳

The official air date is Tues. Jan 5, but it will pre-air on Tues. Dec. 29 (like that "soft opening" bs, lol). To comply with DMCA/FCC/RUN-DMC/etc, I'll post the playlist after the Jan 5 show.

Don't wait for the second airing, because once you hear it you'll want to hear it again!

Show 76: Lost Childhood Movie - this Tues. Dec. 1 at 7 pm CST

Greetings! Tune in this Tuesday December 1 for Show 76: Lost Childhood Movie.

This was inspired by a 7" I finally found a copy of, and the description is self-explanatory - it's a collection of random songs sequenced like the soundtrack to a lost classic childhood movie (emphasis on CLASSIC - not the straight-to-video talking dog ones that we all watched out of boredom).

If you're here for the arranging, don't miss this one!

There are three artists in common with Show 51 (Oct. 1, 2019), and nine new artists. Plus let's celebrate my acquisition of Zora Kolinska's Verše Písané Na Vodu LP (much gratitude to the fantastic seller 😊)!
